So the holiday week is wrapping up and I should be in bed sleeping it off but instead I am up just having finished digital scrapbooking for way too many hours. I have issues with starting something and then putting it down. During my breaks from digital scrapbooking (which is way better than cutting and taping) I have been busy HELPING my sixth grader with his science fair project. Why oh why do they insist on punishing parents by assigning all sorts of crazy projects? Chad helped Austin pretty much all day yesterday making and testing parachutes. So today I helped make a science board. So much fun! When we were done with that Austin had to design a space station.
Well the kids seemed to be happy with Christmas and I managed to surprise my husband with a new theater system so he is happy as well. Chad also got away with doing pretty much nothing for 4 days. I tried to go out and do fun family stuff but he just wanted to be lazy! If you can't tell I got a new camera for Christmas- therefore lots of pictures. I had the setting/quality too high and so it is taking me a long time to post my pictures thats why I decided to load first and blog last. My camera was 8 years old and I am hoping the color on my new camera is better. Chad also got me a Ipod docking speaker thingy so I can listen to music in the kitchen. LOVE IT! Use it everyday.
London was the most excited about her webkinz and has been using the karaoke machine everyday. Chad got the karaoke machine from his work auction and London thinks she has to use 2 microphones. She is so funny because she mumbles while staring at herself on the TV and if no one will listen to her she gets bored. She also got a pink guitar that she carries around so she can perform for anyone who will listen. Poor child needs some attention.
Braden got a new bike but he thinks it is too tall so he was a little nrevous to climb on. Also because the weather is so frightful he hasn't really tried it out yet. He was the most excited about Bakugan. It is another Japanese game like Pokemon. Apparently it is all the rage- I personally don't get the appeal.
Austin got lots of new books and an Ipod touch. I am having a little Ipod envy over this because the Touch is really cool. I don't think he even knows how it all works because it connects to the internet and everything. He hasn't been scene without earphones hanging out of his ears since Christmas day. I think they are part of him now.
So now that Christmas is over, science fair project is done, and all Christmas decorations are put away I am a little scared what a week home with all the kids will entale. I was hoping we could go sledding but it is WAY too COLD for me outside right now. So if you see me by the end of the week with my eyes all glazed over you know why!
Happy New Year!
