Still Here!

So Football is officially over! No more practice every night and one less game to go to on Saturdays. Braden's team was tied for 2nd but lost the final game against Layton yesterday. Layton had some super fast runners that our defense had a hard time catching the final score was 30 to 16 so at least it wasn't a total slaughter. I asked Braden if he was glad it was over and he said he was sad he won't get to play for awhile, although he now has more time to play with friends after school.

Austin team is doing so so they seem to win the hard teams and lose to the easy teams. I don't get it and Chad is getting a little frustrated since he is the coach. Austin and the other players are improving individually - now we need to work on working better together. He finished Brsinger on Friday and says it is really good but I haven't been able to start reading it yet because I have been working more this past week.

London is still scoring lots of goals and she isn't crying as much when they starts losing, which is good. It can be embarrassing if you are the coach and your child is throwing a fit because they are losing. She is REALLY boy crazy. She comes home everyday from kindergarten with a new boyfriend. Last time I asked she had 4 boyfriends. SCARY!

I accidently put our new cousins name as Judd Rodney Buttars he is actually Judd Rodney Howells- sorry Lisa. I have officially fixed it on my old post so just so everyone knows he is a Buttars- just not by name.

Judd Rodney Howells born September 11

We went to visit the newest addition to the Buttars' family- Judd Rodney in Perry today. The boys missed out on seeing him at the hospital because they were at school. Austin loves babies and Braden was dying to see him because we all think judd looks like another baby Braden!Congrats to Lisa and Trent.

Games from the last 2 weeks!

My Catch Up Blog

So the last 2 weeks have been a emotional roller coaster ride. Chad's mom was in the hospital and she gave all of us quite a scare for a couple of days, but she is now home and on the mend- if we can keep her away from work and get her to actually rest and take care of herself! I don't think she realizes that she is the rock of the family and we would be lost without her! I also took a part time job at a photography company and have been busy learning how to use an Apple computer again. I haven't used one since I did highschool newspaper! To top it off, we are now in the full swing of things with school, homework, practices, and games. Braden has one more game and right now we are tied for 2nd - if we win next week we will be 2nd. Since I last blogged, Braden got a safety at one game. It was fantastic! I am now learning all the football lingo and so if you don't know what a safety is- it is when a defensive lineman sacks the quarterback {or the guy with the ball} in the end zone. This means Braden got 2 points for his team and he wasn't even playing offense! His head his getting a little big with this football thing and he likes tackling a little too much. Chad says he has little brother syndrome. London started AYSO soccer and the first game she scored like 7 goals, but by the next game she was sitting on the field crying because they we beating her! Today I had to bribe her not to cry and throw a fit with the new Barbie movie. She did almost get upset but she held it together and scored 6 goals. She says her team won 6 to 7, I'm not sure if this is wishful thinking because the other team made a lot of goals, but whatever keeps her happy, even if it is a delusion! Austin has been playing awesome! I don't know how he takes on kids twice his size but he does and holds his own. Today we won 4 to 1 - we won't talk about last Mondays game because our team made a very sad performance and lost 1 to 4. Today he got his copy of Brsingr, which is the 3rd book to Eragon, and he read pretty much until his game started. He is in sixth grade and we usually correct his math because his handwriting is so bad sometimes he misses problems because he can't read his own writing. Well last friday he told me he was fine and he didn't need Chad or I to check it- he had it taken care of! Well on Monday he came home and yelled at me and said Dad sucks at checking his math because he got 6 out of 15 or something. I told him nobody checked his math because he said he had it covered and he had to make a quick retraction. Of course we are just his parents so we are the dummies- only time will tell if Austin survives his pre-teen, hormone heightened stage of life. he is so awnry and emotional. Please give me strength is all I have to say!

13 Years Later!

Chad and I got engaged the night of homecoming my senior year- too young, I agree, but it has worked out pretty well for us so far! We have been together 15 years and married 13 years today! We have 3 beautiful children and a very nice life together!

Look how young and skinny we are!

For our 10 year we were suppose to go on a big trip but we had to put a yard in and so last year for our 12th we went to Europe for 3 weeks- this is us in Venice, Italy! So I think that trip has gotten Chad off the hook until at least our 15th anniversary

I just want to say I couldn't have made a better choice for a husband! He has made it possible for me to be at home for the last year and a half with our kids and he is so involved with our kids in every aspect of their lives which is so wonderful. He has a demanding job but he always has time for us and because of that he misses out on ALOT of sleep. I hope he realizes how much we all love him! Here's to 13 more years!

My Baby is all grown up!

My baby started kindergarten yesterday and I have to say it left me feeling sick to my stomach- my baby is getting too big! She kept telling me all morning that I was going to make her late. She didn't want me to take a shower because she thought we would be late. Then she pushed me away and told me to leave once we got there. Right before I left she did ask me not to forget to pick her up and she said I couldn't talk too much to anyone when I came to get her because it would be too embarrassing! Since when does a five year old get embarrassed by their mother. Aren't they suppose to love us until pre-teen age? Along with kindergarten she starts AYSO soccer with Chad as her coach this week. He tried to have a practice tonight and of course she wouldn't listen to him at all and didn't want to share her soccer ball with the other girls. I have no idea how to make her share- we force her but it doesn't seem to help. Any ideas how to break my daughter of her selfish ways would be great!
