In between games some of the kids came to hang out.

A Whole Day of SOCCER!

Austin's team played 2 games today in the steam tournament and then we went to watch our niece play tonight in the same tournament. After that Chad had an indoor game where he scored 2 goals- not bad for a defender! Chad's over 30 league plays year round- you would think they would get tired but maybe it keeps them young.

Our home project this week!

We spent Friday and Saturday sanding and repainting our 600 sq ft deck- which we have pretty much done every summer since we moved in. We found this house from a builder that was building it for himself and decided to move to St. George and we curse him every year for not doing trex decking. Maybe if we buy a couple boards a week for the next year or so we could have trex in 2010. On the plus side my deck is my favorite part of our house. We added more blinds, flower pots, a stereo, and Chad's hammock to make for a little retreat with shade. The sunsets out here in the country are so beautiful!

Our one trip a year to LAGOON!

We had our once a year trip to Lagoon today. Ever since I worked there as a teenager I can't take more than once a year! The kids had fun - the boys brought friends so me and London hung out together in kiddie land until 4. London was tired so she went home to play with Jace- her favorite friend. Chad and the boys went on every roller coaster there. Once I took London home I went back to ride with them and I quickly decided that I'd rather be in kiddie land! Austin's friend Carson came - they have known eachother since they were in first grade. They don't even go to the same school anymore but they still like to hang out together.

More Baseball

The picture of London and Braden in the dug out was taken without them knowing- they were telling secrets and it was so cute! As you can tell by London's pictures she gets bored of all her brothers games.

Braden's baseball game today

The funny things kids say and do!

All of Londons little dresses and skirts were getting a little too short and she is not very lady like in them - if you know what I mean, so we told her she couldn't wear them anymore. This morning she came down in this dress that she normally wears with little capri leggings and said she solved the problem of showing her panties. She still gets to wear the short dress she says because she has shorts covering her panties.

Bigger photos of our first week with summer weather!

My sister Cami invited us to swim at her house yesterday. We took madisyn and Tyker (our Buttars cousins). It is the first official week she has been able to swim everyday- because the horrible weather we've had. I had to show Cami throwing Carver in the pool- she did this at least 50 times. He loved it but I'm sure her arms are sore today! I put a slideshow of more swimming photos to the right but I can't figure out how to get the slideshow on the left side of the blog and how to get the slideshow bigger. Any help would be great with those of you who are blogging experts.

Chad's Father's Day present and the kid's new favorite toy!

I told Chad he could get his own Fathers Day gift and this Nintendo Wii is what he brought home. I am not sure if it was for him or the kids, but the kids do have fun playing with their dad and the Wii. Chad and Austin both say their arms are sore after playing so I keep telling myself it is better than the playstation or computer.

My new favorite toy!

Because of the rising gas prices we have now parked our gas guzzler! I love my truck but not how much it costs to drive around town in it. So we went to Chad's brother and by the end of the night we had a new, hopefully more fuel effiencient car. It is a Dodge Caliber. I told Chad we had to buy American so we could help our crappy American economy.

Our wild camping adventure!

So if you live around here you know until this week the weather had yet to turn from Winter to Spring- forget Summer! Well the kids didn't want to wait for good weather to go camping so we decided to brave it. Someone told us to try Swan Flats because there are good roads for 4-wheelers. We got up there and this is where our adventure began. The road to the left was a swamp land so we went to the right which took us further and further up the mountain- cliff on one side and mountain side on the other. When we were just about to the top of this mountain, no camping sites any where to be found, there was a huge snow drift and Chad turns to me and says I can't get over that so I am going to go in reverse down the mountain (we were hauling a 27 foot toy hauler trailer). Of course I was freaked out so I decide to walk next to the truck so my family didn't go over the cliff. Well we made it down alive and we drove down the canyon where it is pouring rain instead of snowing. We had been to this place before so we thought if we found a campsite close to the bottom, mud wouldn't be a problem. Yes, we got stuck in the mud. As our trailer is sinking in the mud from the weight of the 4-wheelers, Chad (in shorts, t-shirt, and white shoes) opens the trailer which is side ways in the mud and drives the 4-wheelers out. One of the only 4 people camping saw us and offered to help. After maybe an hour we got the trailer out of the mud hole but then the truck wheels were so covered in mud that we had to pull the truck and trailer into our camping spot with 2 sportmans tied to the front of our truck. So we settled in and we actually had fun. Braden learned how to drive the little 4-wheeler. Uncle Trent came Saturday and spoiled Austin by teaching him how to drive the Scrambler, after that Austin didn't like his little 4-wheeler anymore and I ended driving it a couple times while he drove the big 4-wheeler. I forgot to mention, on Sunday Chad was pouring gas on some old credit cards we were trying to burn, and the fire went up into the gas can and up Chads hand. My kids just sat there staring, and until I turned around they never once tried to get help. He's fine and we made it home in one piece. Chad said all in all it was a successful weekend!
