What we've been up to-

Braden made it to the Math/ Science Olympiad for 2 events and chose to go for tile trials. I have no idea what he was suppose to do other than he had to use multiplication and division to solve a puzzle and if you answer wrong the tiles are wrong. Him and his partner did well but only got 4th place. 1st through 3rd get medals. To a third grader not getting a medal was like the end of the world he got a little upset but , I was very proud of him!

So Austin had his first boy/girl dance at school. Me and some other mom's went and decorated for a luau theme. It was so cute. Austin didn't really want me there but he said I could go if I didn't bring my camera. If you go to my friend Chandra's blog she has her daughter and Austin on video taking their first dance with the opposite sex. We told them it would be less embarrassing if they asked friends. Austin had to ask 5 girls and 5 girls asked him. He was a little nervous in the morning but, after the first dance his face went back down from the dark shade of red it was. I was only going to stay a minute and then go to work but I ended up staying the whole time because it was so cute! Somewhere near the last half hour I suddenly got really depressed about my baby being so grown up. He doesn't think he needs me any more. It is all very sad. On the other hand, if he stays as moody and mean as he has been lately I will be moving him out the day he turns 18!

Mother's day we went over to my sisters house and had a barbeque. All the kids kept getting injured. Carver was doped up on pain meds because he fell off a fire man pole at the playground and ended up having surgery to put bolts in his arm. Braden fell and took half his toe skin off. Jace got hit in the head with a croquet ball -okay, so my London threw it. I am sure it was an accident, right? It was good to get together. My little neice was so cute she kept showing me her teeth but it just looked like she was mad. She can always brighten my day. Robyn hates it but she calls me mom too- love it! When you look at London's outfit please don't think I dressed her. She insisted on dressing herself that day. Chad said she looked like Hannah Montana with that green vest on. Needless to say after Me and Chad saw how short her skirts and shorts have been, London got new clothes.

As you can see I still have my pictures coming in sideways. I have no idea why. I tried making them smaller and I make sure they are the right direction when I bring them over. Any ideas?

Baseball has started and Braden is like a different kid from last year. He is doing really well. I just hope he remembers baseball is his least favorite sport and still doesn't want to play next year. It's hard to give it up if he is playing well, but I can't survive through kid pitch. I heard it is very painful to watch.

Spring season of soccer ended and we had a big soccer party to celebrate. Chad took a week brake from practiices, but we will be getting ready for tournaments soon.

Just some cute pics

I don't know why this came in sideways- sorry!

My Last Official School Fieldtrip to the Zoo!

With London getting older, comes alot of lasts. This week I made my last trip to the zoo with kindergartners! It is a little bitter sweet. I have been to the zoo with each kid for preschool and kindergarten. So as you can imagine, I don't mind that much that it was my last fieldtrip there but, everytime I do something with my kids for the last time it reminds how fast they are growing up! As you can tell London does not stay in one place long enough to get to many good pictures of her, but she did have fun.

Easter with Family!

We had the Buttars' over for easter dinner and an egg hunt. I couldn't decide which pictures to post so there are a lot. The kids hunted for eggs, the mom's took pictures for their blogs, the BIG kids (dad's) played a little football, almost hitting a few innocent bystanders, and Chad's brother Trent, who is anti-sports jumped on the trampoline. Over-all a very excellent Easter! I couldn't get my kids to stand still too long to get real good pictures. I think they were already hopped up on sugar!(I should mention my neice Madisyn was sporting her new braces and Megan was sporting a baby bump).

Austin is REALLY 12!

Okay, so I have been saying Austin is 12 for 6 months now, but now he really is 12! He was suppose to plan something of a party- a sleepover, or swimming, something, but he waited until the day before to tell me what he decided (this procrastination his a habit of his) so now he has to wait until soccer is over. We took him to dinner and he picked out cupcakes, but it was pretty low key.

Demolition Derby

For Austin's 3rd quarter party they did a "Drive Inn" theme. They had to build their own cars for the movie and they also did a demolition derby with their cars on boards with wheels. Austin, of course, waited until the day of to ask if we were making a car. So I scrambled while he was at school to put together a car. I got most of it together and then Chad helped build the actual scructure of the truck. We put a flat bed in the back, which was cute, but we found out later that Austin would be sitting on a roller board and so the space for his body was a little small. He was pretty excited when he got home from school. His friend was teasing me for building Austin's car because he built his himself. Here are pictures of Austin's truck and Keegan's car.
